The mist in Limgrave had not yet lifted when the Tarnished knelt before the small shrine, its stone worn smooth by centuries of rain. The Finger Seal sat in a shallow alcove, pale as old bone, its single curved tip pointing upward like a finger raised in quiet prayer. The Tarnished picked it up. It was lighter than expected, warm, as though someone had only just set it down. A low hum passed through the palm—barely a whisper, but unmistakable.
